BBSC Event Participation Policies
In order to provide an organized and safe experience for all participants BBSC enforces a rigorous set of rules. You are expected to maintain the rules set forth. By completing registration for any BBSC event you automatically agree to BBSC's policies which include and are not limited to the below:

USAT Sanctioned Event Rules
You agree to comply to all rules and regulations established by the United States governing body for triathlon. All BBSC events are USAT sanctioned. If you have any questions concerning the rules of the sport please click here.

Packet Pickup
Bring your picture I.D. as NO ONE may pick up your packet for you. Course briefings will be every hour on the hour and then the floor is open for questions on the course etc.  Relay note: Relay teams, ALL members of your team MUST come in to sign waivers etc. ALL members of your relay team MUST also either be USAT members or buy the one day USAT license.

Body Marking
You will be body marked at either packet pick up or on race morning on the back of your hand, and on your arms and legs to indicate your race number, age, and event. You may then proceed to the transition area and arrange your equipment.

Transition Area Etiquette
No unregistered individuals will be allowed in the transition area for security purposes. Athletes only in the transition areas! No spectators allowed inside! NEVER ride your bike in the transition area even before the race! You will be subject to a USA Triathlon Disqualification if you are seen by a USA Triathlon official.  Please clean up any garbage/trash in your transition area and respect the venues and communities these events are held in.

Refund Policy
This policy provides for a grace period in which you may receive a 50% event credit towards one of our future events in the same calendar year. This grace period expires 30 days prior to the race. In the case of a series race, the grace period expires 30 days prior to the first race in the series. The event credit will be for 50% of your entry fee. No event credits will be issued with less than 30 calendar days notice prior to race. We have found this policy to be an industry standard and necessary for the accuracy of our event registration.

Event Modifications/Cancellations
The race directors and/or USAT officials reserve the right to modify or cancel any or all of the portions of the triathlon if weather conditions, water quality, etc. compromise athlete safety. There are no refunds for cancelled events.
